Minneapolis Millers Hockey Program, 1962
This is from our Minneapolis Collection vertical file on sports. Various teams went by the Millers name - this International Hockey League team was active from 1959-1963. The Millers rose from the ashes of the defunct Denver Mavericks hockey franchise. The Millers had their best season in 1962-1963, they lost to the Fort Wayne Comets in the Turner Cup (IHL championship). There was speculation in the program that the NHL would expand to IHL cities.
