Common Room After Action Review
We had a great time contributing to the last Common Room tour of the summer. We thank Andy and Sergio and hope we can be on another tour next year. We’ll be checking with other HCL staff to see if they have topics they are passionate about that are within walking distance of the Soap Factory.
The weather dried up for the tour - it was a 5 mile loop with 4 stops. Ian talked about the 1917 Plan of Minneapolis and alternate plans for the Minneapolis Central Library (including a 1918 plan for an art museum/library located where Walker Art Center now exists). We were asked to leave Block E during Andrew Dresdner’s excellent presentation on alternate Block E’s, illustrating one of the issues Andrew was talking about: public park vs. private space.
