I found this snapshot in our undigitized photo files, labeled, “Downtown Minneapolis: 1980-1983.”
Here is a view of two buildings that were later replaced by parking lots: the Nicollet Hotel, north of Minneapolis Central Library and the Sherton-Ritz, east of Minneapolis Central Library. Both locations have been mentioned as possible sites of downtown greenspace.
