Sophie is a history student at the University of Minnesota. We asked her a few questions about what brought her to Special Collections.
What are you researching?
Bridge Square Park and Gateway Park for a Twin Cities history course. This research will also serve as background for my senior thesis: Prostitution and Reform in Minneapolis in the early 20th Century.
What brought you to Special Collections?
I stopped by to peek at the Minneapolis Collection and found it to be a extensive collection on Minneapolis History.
What has been most helpful here?
Photographs and documents in the files clipped on specific topics saves a lot of time rather than looking at microfilmed newspapers.
